Just when you thought Richard Woolfe had peaked with his Irish jig at Edinburgh, he’s back in a position we thought we’d never see: in bed with his chief exec, Dawn Airey.
Turns out it’s a stunt to promote Five’s US acquisition FlashForward, imagining Woolfe’s life a year from now. Roll on Edinburgh 2010…
Claudia is Living and loving
Living turned Cupid at an evening of dining with the lights out at Dans le Noir to celebrate the launch of Dating In The Dark. Emerging from the pitch-black dining room, guests learned the results of ‘compatibility tests’ they had fi lled in upon arrival. Luckiest lady of the night was Claudia Rosencrantz, whose perfect beau turned out to be Broadcast’s very own Mike Rosser. Just don’t tell her husband.
Lumley’s paws for thought
Never one to mince her words, Joanna Lumley was obviously less than impressed with some of the moggies she encountered while making ITV1 doc Catwoman. “I met a bald one - a hairless cat who had also been bred so it had every kind of bad thing going for it,” she said. “It came out of its box with eyes like ET and it looked up at me and I swear I heard it say: ‘Please don’t laugh at me.’ It was a freak.” Yikes.
Weaponry skills a bonus
How’s this for a casting call? Hit US show Deadliest Warrior - shown here on Bravo - is searching for, among others, Nazis, Persian immortals, Mongol warriors and Somalian pirates. We’d be especially interested in seeing the candidates for the Medellín Cartel: “Male, 30s to 40s with profi cient knowledge of Colombian cocaine history, weaponry and combat.” And for good measure: “Knowledge of smuggling an added plus.”
