Mansfield greenlights 40 thanniversary show
EXCLUSIVE - Departing ITV controller of documentaries, features and arts Grant Mansfield has agreed to a primetime episode of LWT's The South Bank Show dedicated to the 40th anniversary of Coronation Street.

The 60-minute show - which usually airs on Sundays at 22.55 - will run in the autumn. The South Bank Show has never been scheduled in primetime before, although it did run a programme on dancer Michael Flatley in an 18.30 Saturday night slot in October 1997.

The show is believed to form part of an ITV series of programmes celebrating the Granada soap in November, before its anniversary on 9 December.
