Editing talent agency SumTalent is to widen its remit to include production, studio and post-production staff ahead of the BBC moving departments to MediaCityUK in Salford.

The Manchester-based booking and diary service is hoping to attract craft, creative and technical talent with a background in Children’s and Sport production.

The move follows the revelation that BBC Studios and Post Production, the company that currently provides resources for BBC Children’s and Sport production, will almost certainly not have a presence at MediaCityUK..

Head of SumTalent Sue Fletcher, a former BBC production manager, said: “Just as it appears that posts are sadly being lost in London there will definitely be opportunities in the north west for people with the relevant experience.

“I am interested in all grades and I simply want to be able to cope with the demand for talent that I know is heading our way as a result of MediacityUK,”

SumTalent is part of Sumners Post Production.
