The Machine Room's Smoke editor John McLaren made clever use of a dilapidated utility cupboard in the Wardour Street facility when putting together a title sequence for the second series of BBC 1 drama In Deep. He shot falling cement and rusty shelves from inside the cupboard to create textures that were then composited with live action footage in Smoke to create an opening sequence that had a 'gritty look and feel, reflecting the contents of the drama'. The facility also completed all post-production on the series - from the online conform to the telecine grade. In Deep is produced by Steve Lanning and executive produced by John Yorke. The DoP and cameraman is Peter Sinclair. The series will air from early January on BBC 1.
