The future of The Club Post Production has been secured after its owners formed a new limited company and bought the assets and goodwill from the administrators.

Corporate recovery experts MCR completed a deal with the new company, Post Couture Ltd, last week. It will see The Club stay at its current Covent Garden premises, safeguarding the jobs of 20 of the post house's 27 staff in the process.

Joint managing director Bill Cullen said: “Following a favourable response from clients who wanted the business to continue, we've found a way of maintaining the company's services.”

The Club Post Production was put into administration earlier this month at the request of an invoice discounting company. It ran into difficulties after a client, Gateway Broadcast Services, went into liquidation and was unable to pay a large bill for post production services. (Broadcast 06.02.09).

Gateway Broadcasy Services was behind African Pay-TV service GTV which had the rights to Premier League football (pictured).
