Tiger Aspect Productions has secured a raft of factual commissions from the BBC and Channel 4 including a follow-up to its recent Bafta success Howard Goodall's Big Bangs, writes Penny Hughes.
Howard Goodall's Great Dates, ordered by C4 commissioning editor, music and performance Jan Younghusband, spotlights a range of major musical works. An initial 3 x 60-minute series has been commissioned for transmission this year with three further episodes planned.

In addition, BBC commissioning executive, factual Celia Taylor has requested a third series of Country House. Scheduled to air on BBC 2 later this year, the 8 x 30-minute series, currently in production, looks at the lives of Lord and Lady Tavistock. Ant Palmer is producing with Paul Sommers as executive producer.

Meanwhile, Meridian managing director Mary McAnally has commissioned an 11th series of The Village. The show will air in the Meridian region and then will be rerun nationally on BBC 2.
