Delegates visited the country on a six-day trip to demonstrate what the UK can offer the local media industry and seek out business opportunities.

It included visits to media entities Abu Dhabi Media Company, Twofour54, Dubai Media City and Dubai Studio City.

The Bridge Training business development director Triston Wallace said: “There is no gold rush, but there is work there. The UAE is looking to develop long-term partnerships and a legacy. Its ambition is to be a hub for the whole of the Middle East.”

High-end finishing and CGI, multi-platform production and animation were pinpointed as areas of potential interest for British companies.

Representatives from Evolutions, Ascent Media, Elstree Studios, Hullabaloo, DIA, Golden Square, Azimuth and The Crewing Company all made the trip.
