WEDNESDAY: Channel 4 documentary Women Who Kill pulled in an audience in line with slot average.
Women Who Kill (C4) 10pm-11pm
792,000 (5.7%)
Wild Pictures’ study of female killers in the US came to a conclusion with an average of 833,000 (5.9%) across its two parts.
The performance meant it was only narrowly down on the channel’s slot average of 840,000 (5.6%) for the past 12 months, as well as the 845,000 (5.7%) who watched One Killer Punch in a Tuesday 10pm slot in November.
However it was unable to match the 3.9m (19.4%) who watched ITV’s Killer Women With Piers Morgan, which aired to an average of 3.9m (19.4%) across two parts in a 9pm slot in May.
Women Who Kill attracted almost double the audience of Studio Lambert’s Common Sense in the same slot on BBC2.
The fourth episode of the six-part series continued with 490,000 (3.1%), behind the channel’s 690,000 (4.5%) slot average.
Hospital (C4) 9pm-10pm
1.8m (8.9%)
Earlier in the evening, Label1’s hospital documentary built slightly on the previous week’s outing. It remains ahead of the 1.3m (6%) slot average, according to Barb data provided by overnights.tv, with two episodes remaining in the six-part run.
The factual series continued beat Channel 4 drama No Offence, which continued with 1.5m (7.3%).
BBC1 won the slot with DIY SOS: the Big Build, which landed 3.7m (18.2%) across the hour from 9pm, while ITV aired Midsomer Murders to 3.2m (15.7%) between 8pm and 10pm on ITV.
Some 1.2m (5.8%) tuned in to Channel 5 for GPs: Behind Closed Doors.
Sex Pod (5 Star) 10pm-11pm
136,000 (1%)
Crackit Productions’ format returned for a second series comfortably ahead of the 104,000 (0.69%) slot average. It was also marginally up on the 129,000 (0.88%) who watched the opener in May.
