Zeppotron co-founder Ben Caudell is leaving the business after 14 years to join Objective Productions as its head of comedy.

Caudell, who started the Endemol-owned indie in 2000, will join the All3Media-indie further to Ben Farrell’s departure to the BBC later this year. Caudell, who is Zeppotron’s creative director, has worked across shows including Would I Lie To You, 8 Out Of 10 Cats and 10 O’Clock Live.

He will report in to Objective chief executive officer Andrew Newman.

“Ben’s made some brilliantly funny shows and worked with some very talented writers and performers,” said Newman. “Since working with him back on The Eleven O’Clock Show, I’ve always thought he’s been a skilled producer with a great sense of humour.”
