Zodiak Rights has acquired the international rights to forthcoming Channel 4 factual entertainment format Compare Your Life.

The international distributor has taken the rights from series producer True North Productions.

The 6 x 60-minute series, which launches later this month, is presented by Carlton Hood, the former chief exec of confused.com, the comparison website. It will look at families stuck in the rat race and will help them find solutions to transform their lives.

Zodiak will start shopping the finished tape as well as the format rights to the series, which is exec produced by True North creative director Glyn Middleton.

Zodiak Rights vice president of factual acquisitions and programming Alex Brudenell said Hood was a natural presenter.

“It’s an original and well-structured format which will strike an optimistic chord that will resonate with viewers worldwide, so we’re delighted to be taking this out to the international market,” he said.
