Soho facility Rain Post is on the verge of being wound up.

On Friday last week, insolvency firm Marriotts wrote to Rain’s creditors to say that the post firm’s director and chief executive Mike Bhatt was proposing to put the firm into liquidation.

A creditors meeting is due to take place on 4 April.

All of the company’s employees were made redundant early last month after a subsidiary of Rain (‘Rain II’) was placed in administration by the company’s management team.

Suppliers and freelancers have since contacted Broadcast to say they are owed tens of thousands of pounds by the post firm.

Bhatt declined to comment on the amounts owed.

He said: “We looked for investors and tried to revive the company but we just couldn’t do it.”

Rain’s 4,500 sq ft Soho facility on Lower James Street, London, housed some 25 staff when it launched in August 2011.
