The Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE) is rolling out its multi-platform seminar to the UK.

The one-day event, which has already been staged in Toronto, Montreal and Washington DC, will take place on 6 February in London and 7 February in Salford.

According to SMPTE, the seminar will “help professionals create content without having to worry a great deal about its ultimate distribution platform or display device”.

AmberFin chief technology officer Bruce Devlin and his colleague, software product manager Ben Davenport, will lead conversations on the technological differences between the types and formats of multi-platform distribution systems and display devices as well as the technologies and processes for generating and automating content for iOS and Android devices, set-top-boxes, satellite receivers, computers, and connected televisions.

The seminar is free to SMPTE members.
