Brief Grading and sound design for documentary with art historian Richard Clay on the history of graffiti.

How it was done Senior colourist Danny Wood graded on Baselight. Wood brought out as much detail as possible with contrast and emphasising colours in certain pieces, especially older, more subtle stone work. The subject was naturally colourful so the palette was kept quite true to reality. Tom O’Pray was dubbing mixer. To bring to life historical events discussed in the film, sound effects were used to create subtle soundscapes. WWII material was degraded with crackle, hum and frequency filtering in order to give them an authentic sound. A range of audio restoration tools were used to ensure clarity of location dialogue.
