Web-based video production firm Aframe has partnered with BT to launch the telecoms giant’s Media IP Nexus service.

The fibre-line product, which was unveiled today, will allow content owners and suppliers to send full-resolution digital content over a fixed network.

Aframe said “major” UK broadcasters, including ITV, had already signed up to the service in a bid to aid the move to a tapeless workflow.

Chief executive David Peto (pictured, left) said: “[BT’s] power and influence will help the creative sectors to embrace the very latest technology available to make video productions more efficient.”

The service will allow organisations to work within Aframe’s online video production environment, where staff can collaborate on projects.
