Technology reseller Altered Images is to open a new office in Salford Quays, Manchester.

The new facilities will provide extended sales and technical support for production, broadcast and post clients in the North of England. It will open in February.

Managing director David Johnson said: “We have grown at a substantial rate over the last ten years, this is because we offer our clients a better service and full technical back up - we're not just shifting boxes but provided strong consultancy and technical know how for our clients all over the country.

“The new location will provide us with much needed room for further expansion, and will help us further develop business with our partners.”

The opening of the new office coincides with the development of the Mediacity:UK in Salford Quays. Mediacity:uk will include film and TV studio The Pie Factory and will be home to BBC departments including BBC Sport and BBC Children's.

Altered Images specialises in production systems, installation and technical backup for production, post and broadcast as well as a variety of corporate organisations.

It sells kit from Avid, Anystream, Apple, Editshare, Panasonic, JVC, Snell & Wilcox amongst others.

The new Altered Images office will be at Technology House on Lissadel Street in Salford.
