Birmingham-based The Audio Suite has opened a graphics (GFX) boutique, Eight Eyed Sea Bass, and is looking to expand further next year.

Eight Eyed Sea Bass, which opened last month, is run by directors Paul Berners and Dominic Osborne - both new media artists - and The Audio Suite managing director Neil Hillman. It features animation software, After Effects and Lightwave for broadcast and corporate productions.

The Audio Suite is also extending its studio facilities at The Custard Factory bringing its investment to £50,000. It is adding an extra track-laying suite, which will open after Christmas. Hillman said it would free their main desk for more demanding work.

Hillman confirmed that another full-time engineer would be employed and that the studio space should be operational by spring.

The Audio Suite has worked on Fifth Gear, The Gadget Show and the World's Greatest? strand for Five and North One Television.
