Avid has released DS 11, the latest version of its editing, graphics creation, colour correction, and compositing software.

New features include expanded file format and hardware support, 16 channels of embedded audio and total conform to Media Composer 6 and Symphony 6.

Avid said integration with Artist Color and Artist Transport “offers greater hands-on precision and the ability to speed up colour correction, grading, editing, and navigation”.

Avid senior director of product management David Colantuoni said DS 11 would provide users with “the highest quality tools that can help them spend more time on creating rather than rendering or exporting to other applications”.

Available now, DS 11 costs £6,398 ($9,999).

Upgrade pricing begins at £3,199 ($4,999).
