Absolute Post has appointed former The Mill managing director Andy Barmer as its new production director.

Barmer's new role will see him “identify operational issues and centralise production procedures.” He starts this week (Monday 10 November) and will be based in London.

Meanwhile, Sally Heath, a founding member of Absolute back in 2004, will move from London to New York as executive producer.

Absolute owner and managing director David Smith said that both Barmer and Heath have been given simple remits: “to make Absolute robust enough to tackle these challenging times within the advertising sector.”

“Sally has played a critical role in building Absolute over the last five years and now New York can benefit from her inimitable enthusiasm and flare for sales and production,” he said.

“Andy will oversee London production, implementing rigorous practices and exploiting opportunities to take the company forward. Andy and Sally will work closely to ensure London and New York continue to work as one facility in two locations.”

Absolute Post is a transatlantic post production company specialising in creating hi-end visual effects for TV commercials, music videos, films and digital media.
