The BBC is set to take delivery of more than forty of TSL’s PAM2 multi-channel audio monitoring units for its Olympic broadcast coverage.

Forty-six PAM2 units, supplied by Dega Broadcast Systems, will sit across operator positions in the International Broadcast Centre during the games, including the BBC’s VT editing suites and playout desks, main MCR, three TV galleries and the commentary area.

PAM2 features loudness-compliance monitoring and audio delay to match video latency.

The unit can monitor 16 embedded audio tracks simultaneously and and decode Dolby E, as well as viewing associated metadata.
