BBC Studios and Post Production has appointed David Conway to the role of chief operating officer.

Conway will be responsible for leading and managing BBC S&PP’s business support functions, including finance, HR, business systems and procurement.

He is currently head of investment and major projects at BBC Corporate Finance and has been a non-executive member of the BBC S&PP board since mid-2011.

Conway replaces recently appointed Pact chair Debbie Manners, who was interim chief operating officer for nine months. He will start his new role on 1 May 2012.

BBC S&PP’s recent credits include Harry Hill’s TV Burp for ITV 1 and Deal or No Deal for Channel 4.
