BBC Studios has finished the first phase of its redesign of the "work and relaxation areas" at TV Centre in a bid to attract high profile celebrities to the BBC, writes Sam Espensen.

The new green rooms, dressing rooms and "superstar suites" have been designed to create multifunctional spaces for visitors. They were unveiled last week.

The refurbishment came about as a result of pressure from both in-house and indie production team. A vote was taken on which areas most needed improving and they voted overwhelmingly to have better facilities to offer international stars, in order to make better and more successful shows. The BBC would not reveal how much the new facilities cost.
