The procession to Lying In State

Huw Edwards, Fergal Keane, Kirsty Young, David Dimbleby and Sophie Raworth will lead the BBC’s TV coverage of the Queen’s state funeral.

Edwards – who delivered the news about the death of the Queen on BBC1 - will cover events from London alongside Keane, while Young and Dimbleby will be based in Windsor, and Raworth from Parliament Square.

The programme will be simulcast from 8am-5pm on BBC1 and BBC2 (with BSL signing)..

Martha Kearney will present a radio programme capturing key events in London and Windsor. This will be simulcast on BBC Sounds, BBC Radio 4, BBC Radio 5 Live, BBC Radio Wales and BBC Radio Scotland between 9am-1.30pm and 2.30pm–5pm.

Radio 2 and Radio 3 will broadcast the State Funeral Service at 11am, and Radio 3 will also broadcast the committal service at 4pm. BBC Local Radio will cover the funeral in a special programme from 10am-2pm across England, while the World Service will broadcast the procession, state funeral service and the committal service.

Anita Rani will be based at the Long Walk at Windsor and JJ Chalmers at Wellington Barracks, while former BBC special correspondent Allan Little will be inside Westminster Abbey with royal correspondent Jonny Dymond.

Commentary from different points along the procession route will come from Ken Bruce, Mishal Husain, Emma Barnett, Clive Myrie, Adele Roberts, John Murray, Mike Costello, Rachel Burden, Nuala McGovern, Chris Mason, Jamie Coomarasamy, Andrea Catherwood and James Naughtie.

Eleanor Oldroyd will be inside St George’s Chapel, with commentary from different points along the procession route from Naga Munchetty, Paddy O’Connell, Alistair Bruce-Ball, Julian Worricker, Anna Foster and Tony Livesey.

This week, Sky News revealed it would air live coverage of the event from 5am, ending with a round-up show at 9pm, and ITV confirmed its coverage would take over its entire network of six channels.
