Beam's joint managing director Matt Cooper is joining forces with its special projects director, Ben Smith, account director Daniel Hearn and former technology director Stuart Peters, to develop the service which delivers promos and commercials over fibre-optic connections.

Resolution's former managing director, Roger Moffatt, is developing the technology that the new business will use.

Other details about the new business are sketchy, with no company name or launch date announced.

Moffatt said: "We are in a unique position as a privately owned company with no affiliations to any facility or agency group. Independence is something the market values."

Beam.tv's other joint managing director, Juan Lobato, is staying with the business, which employs 42 staff.
