While the purchase of DaVinci was Blackmagic Design’s big news of IBC, the company also used the Amsterdam trade show to reveal updates to its DeckLink range.

DeckLink Studio 2, first unveiled at NAB, was on show. This updated model to the DeckLink Studio capture card has 10 bit HDMI capture and playback for the same price as the original.

In addition, a software update, also announced at IBC, means that all DeckLink cards now include support for ProRes 4:4:4:4 and 1080p50/60 as well as Red easy setups.

Also on show was the HDLink Pro DP, an update of the HDLink Pro but with a display port connection instead of of a DVI connection.

Blackmagic Design acquired all the assets of DaVinci LLC earlier in the month including its Resolve colour grading system technology.
