Camera and lighting rental company Shoot Blue has appointed Matt Bounsall to the newly-created position of head of rental and business development.

Bounsall joins Shoot Blue from Take 2 Films where he managed the camera rental department.

Bounsall has worked across features, television dramas and commercials, including BBC drama Wolf Hall and Channel 4 science fiction series Humans (pictured).

Shoot Blue joint managing director Jon Howarth said: “Matt brings a wealth of experience with him and his appointment is an important step in our future business strategy.

“Specifically, his appointment will also give us an opportunity to enhance our service and product offering in the TV drama and commercials sectors.

“We have invested in new rental kit considerably over the past 18-months and the timing of Matt’s appointment comes at a time of significant growth within the business”

Bounsall added: “I am very much looking forward to joining the team at Shoot Blue and building on their achievements within the UK rental market. It’s an exciting time to be joining the company”
