Davoli joined Anonymous Content in 2022 and was tasked with building up its operations outside of the US, which include The Hack prodco AC Chapter One in the UK, Anonymous Federation in France and Anonymous Content Brazil.

He is understood to be departing at the end of the year when his contract expires, with his remit falling under the purview of chief content officer David Levine, to whom Davoli had reported.

Davoli had previously overseen TV for Bron Studios before being hired by former Anonymous chief exec Dawn Olmstead, who departed in 2023.

US and international outlook

Anonymous is one of Hollywood’s biggest producers, with a TV slate that includes Netflix duo East of Eden and Little House on the Prairie, Apple TV’s Time Bandits and Disclaimer, MGM+’s American Classic and HBO’s True Detective.

It is also behind Nickel Boys and Sydney Sweeney’s Christy, as well as Academy Award winning films such as The Revenant and Spotlight.

The company’s international operations have, to date, been structured as joint ventures with local partners, and it is understood these are unaffected by Davoli’s exit.

Sexy Beast

The six international labels it has in its portfolio include Best Interests and Sexy Beast producer AC Chapter One in the UK, which was launched with United Agents and Casarotto Ramsey & Associates.

A deal was struck last year with Australia’s Brouhaha Entertainment, which was behind Boy Swallows Universe for Netflix in 2024, while a partnership with France’s Federation Entertainment created Anonymous Federation in 2021. Its slate includes English-language dramedy A Beautiful Journey.

There’s also Snow Sister producer AC Nordic, which was launched with Morten Tyldum and Guri Neby, while in Spain the company partnered with Morena Films to launch Anonymous Content España. It is led by former StudioCanal exec Beatriz Campos and is believed to have an as-yet undisclosed project in the works.

There’s also São Paulo-based Anonymous Content Brazil, a joint venture led by chief exec Barbara Teixiera and backed by RT Features and CAA, which was behind Perfect Days for Globoplay last year.

The company had also discussed plans to expand in Germany and Italy late last year, but deals are yet to emerge.

News of Davoli’s exit comes after the company joined numerous other US outfits in recent months including Paramount Skydance, Fifth Season and Amazon in trimming its workforce, with cuts of around 15% reported.
