Liz Tang reunites with Prentiss Fraser at distribution arm for UK-focused role

Fox Entertainment Global (FEG) has recruited Fifth Season’s acquisitions chief Liz Tang to a newly created senior UK role.
London-based Tang has been appointed vice-president of UK content and acquisitions and will look after content management for the distribution arm of Fox Entertainment’s owned and affiliated production companies based in the UK.

She will also identify and acquire scripted and unscripted shows from third party producers to grow and diversify FEG’s distribution slate.
Tang stepped into the position this week, having previously been at CJ ENM-owned Fifth Season for the past five years, first as director, content and latterly as executive director of acquisitions, which Broadcast revealed in 2023.
While there she led an international team focused on sourcing, acquiring and financing premium scripted and unscripted projects for Fifth Season’s TV distribution division.
She was key in building out its slate, developing partnerships with producers and talent and securing content across all stages of production.
Prior Fifth Season, Tang worked in acquisitions for myriad broadcasters including Sky, BBC Studios, 5 and Discovery Networks International, managing the licensing and acquisition of thousands of hours of content for major networks and new platform launches across the world.
She began her career at Viacom, holding scheduling, programming, and acquisitions positions with MTV Networks and EPIX in both London and New York.
Her appointment follows on from Fox’s hire of former Fifth Season distribution chief Prentiss Fraser as FEG president at the beginning of the year.
Fraser said: “Liz is an accomplished and well-loved content executive with deep relationships across the industry and an exceptional eye for commercially and creatively compelling programming.
“Her experience with the production community and across acquisitions and programming with both broadcasters/platforms and global distribution companies, will be invaluable in supporting FOX’s expanding slate.”
