Former unscripted exec to lead content and strategy for RTL Group-owned company

Fremantle has upped Jimmy Fox to become president of content and strategy, two years after he joined the RTL Group-owned company.

Fox’s expanded remit includes oversight of both traditional development and strategic business initiatives, with a mandate to accelerate evolution across new forms of content, partnerships and growth opportunities.

He will look to bolster cross-department collaboration around legacy IP and support the incubation of new international formats.

Fox joined Fremantle in 2024 from Religion of Sports as executive vice president of unscripted development and sales, since when he has overseen the release of Evil Influencer and ABC’s version of Match Game. Most recently, he developed the competition series Win the Mall for Netflix, with production slated to begin later this month.

He continues to report to Fremantle chief exec Jennifer Mullin.

She said: “From launching standout projects to forging key partnerships, his impact has been felt across the organisation, and I am delighted to see him step into this expanded role.”

The promotion comes amid an ongoing reshuffle at Fremantle’s global ranks, which saw scripted chief Christian Vesper and entertainment chief Andrew Llinares departing this year so far. The latter was replaced last week by former NBC Universal and Lime exec Ben Crompton.

Fremantle endured a tough 2025, reporting a 10% drop in annual revenue and a €95m write-down that hit distribution advances and first-look agreements.
