Anneka Jones becomes exec vice president of development and current at Mary Robertson’s company, whose slate includes recently released The Fall of Diddy for Investigation Discovery.

Jones’ remit includes expanding its development slate, driving sales and overseeing current series and feature productions.

She joins from Left/Right, where she most recently served as chief content officer, having been with the company for more than two decades. Her credits range from Showtime’s This American Life and The Circus, to FX’s The New York Times Presents and Apple TV+’s Gutsy.

Jones will work across Maxine’s upcoming slate, which includes an untitled project on the Alexander Brothers, the high-profile real estate agents facing harrowing criminal allegations, as well as several soon-to-be-announced series and features in development with Vox/New York Magazine, Rolling Stone and Buzzfeed.

The prodco has previously been behind Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of TV for Investigation Discovery/HBO Max, and June, for Paramount+, about iconic country musician June Carter Cash.

Robertson said: ”Having been fortunate to work alongside Anneka for over a decade at Left/Right, I know first-hand the qualities for which she has become recognised around the industry.

“She is a dynamic, versatile executive and producer, capable of combining journalistic rigor with strong commercial instincts. Her addition marks a pivotal moment for Maxine, as we build on a wave of successes and invest in an ambitious nonfiction slate. I look forward to our next chapter together.”

Jones added: “I am thrilled to join forces with Mary, a long-time friend and collaborator, as well as her incredible team at Maxine. I am honored to have the opportunity to build upon the company’s remarkable success by expanding its production capacity and accelerating its creative efforts.”
