Docuseries to explore notorious conman who featured in the 2018 Bravo show
Netflix has lined up a Bunim/Murray Productions docuseries exploring the notorious case of conman John Meehan.
Dirty John will explore how Meehan - a seemingly perfect bachelor - manipulated a woman and her children in the early 2010s with his psychological abuse ending in a violent end.
The docuseries shares the same title as Bravo’s series from 2018 about Meehan, which was in turn based on Christopher Goffard’s podcast.
Banijay’s Bunim/Murray Productions is attached alongside Empress Films. Director is Emma Cooper and executive producers are Julie Pizzi, Jesse Daniels, and Melissa G. Moore.
The show will include newly unveiled archival materials and evidence that explores how detectives solved the case.
