Fox-owned streamer picks up more than 900 movies and TV episodes from companies including Fremantle
Fox-owned streamer Tubi is adding more than 900 TV episodes and movies to its offering in the UK, with shows from franchises such as Farmer Wants A Wife and Storage Wars set to become available.
A deal with Fremantle has handed Tubi UK access to Farmer Wants A Wife Australia, Farming for Love Canada, Storage Wars: Northern Treasures, Black Gold, Monster Garage, Motor City Motors and Verminators.
Other pacts have been agreed with 800 Pound Gorilla Media, True Crime UK, Fremantle and Next Up.
Titles heading Tubi’s way from 800 Pound Gorilla include Ivo Graham: Live From Bloomsbury Theatre and Paddy Young: Hungry, Horny, Scared; Tom Allen: Absolutely Live, and The Carpark.
True Crime UK, which is owned by the CBS AMC Networks UK Channels Partnership, has sold rights to shows including Citizen Detective, Evidence of Evil, and Murder: First on Scene, while Next Up has agreed deals for Milton Jones: Milton Impossible, Stewart Francis: Pun Gent, and Ed Byrne: Different Class, among others.
Tubi launched in the UK in July 2024 and now offers more than 75,000 movies and TV episodes for free. It also rolled out a swathe of FAST channels late last year.
Ross Appleton, general manager of Tubi UK, said the latest acquisitions “reflect the strategic momentum” the streamer has built in the UK.
He added: “As the leading AVOD platform in Europe for catalogue growth, this investment underscores our continued commitment to delivering fandoms exceptional content and reinforces our long-term growth strategy for the market.”
