Keshet sells Kalel’s sexual harassment Dispatches doc

Keshet International has sold Kalel Productions’ Channel 4 doc Undercover: Sexual Harassment – The Truth, made for the broadcaster’s Dispatches strand, to several European territories.

Belgium’s DPG Media has picked up the free TV, pay TV and SVoD rights, while in Denmark, it will air on youth-skewing TV2 Echo and SVoD platform TV2 Play), and it will also air on TV4 in Finland and Sweden. KI is in ongoing discussions with other international buyers for the rights.

The investigative single exposes the prevalence of sexual harassment that women and girls across the UK face. The format is available as both a finished tape and a format, with the doc featuring hidden camera experiments.

Tomorrow Studios signs first-look deal with Cowboy Bebop producer

ITV Studios America scripted joint-venture Tomorrow Studios has signed a first-look deal with producer Midnight Radio, building on the pair’s previous collaboration on Netflix’s Cowboy Bebop. WBITVP brings Belgian gameshow to UK buyers

Warner Bros International Television Production (WBITVP) has secured the UK rights for Belgian gameshow The Golden Egg. Australia is also part of the multi-territory partnership WBITVP has signed with Belgian format house Glow Media. Created by Free Kings for Belgian broadcaster VPT, The Golden Egg challenges contestants to find the most valuable item from 100 objects displayed in an immersive studio, with a cash prize up for grabs

EST Studios buys Canadian drama

Global Asian-focused media company EST Studios has bought the rights to Canadian indie Fae Pictures’ drama Streams Flow From A River. The drama highlights the struggle of Chinese-Canadian immigrant families while making a home in the west and follows the Chow family, who dreamed of owning land and placed their bets on a laundromat in the small rural town of Frank, Alberta. When a snowstorm traps the dysfunctional clan together, they are forced to confront events from a decade ago that tore them all apart. The series is the only English-Canadian title in selection at this year’s Canneseries line-up.
