Broadcaster also brings in Football Fallout analysis show for 2026/27 season

BBC Sport has launched a women’s football YouTube channel for the 2026/27 season.

Ahead of the WSL kicking off this weekend, the broadcaster has also announced The Women’s Football Fallout, a 15-minute show exploring and debating the biggest stories in the game on BBC iPlayer, YouTube and the BBC Sport website & app that will be available after live matches the BBC airs. 

Football Fallout will feature BBC pundits including Ellen White, Fara Williams, Anita Asante and Steph Houghton. 

The BBC Women’s Football channel will operate alongside its existing women’s football TikTok channel, and will house original formats and up to eight minute highlights of every WSL match, visualised segments of the BBC Women’s Football Weekly podcast, as well as the clips, features, interviews, analysis and breaking news. 

There are also now dedicated team pages for WSL clubs on the BBC Sport app and website. 

The BBC will show 25 WSL games live this season, starting with Chelsea v Aston Villa from 12:25pm on 4 September. In addition, it will broadcast the final, both legs of one semi-final and four matches from earlier rounds of the UEFA Women’s Champions League, and the WSL Players’ Cup Final. It will also air the Women’s World Cup next summer. 

In Scotland, it will show highlights from the Scottish Women’s Premier League and 26 live games from league, on BBC Alba. In Northen Ireland there’s live coverage of the Women’s Irish Cup Final on BBC iPlayer

Alex Scott will lead BBC presentations of the WSL alongside Jeanette Kwakye, Sarah Mulkerrins and Betty Glover, with punditry from White, Williams, Asante and Houghton. Robyn Cowen and Vicki Sparks will comentate with co-commentators Rachel Brown-Finnis and Gilly Flaherty.
