Broadcaster will also have tie ins across major TV shows

The BBC will host a number of podcasts, in addition to digital clips rights, for the Women’s Cricket World Cup this summer.
Hosted in England and Wales, the tournament runs 12 June until 5 July and Sky Sports will show every game live for viewers at home - as well as making a number of matches free-to-air.
However, the BBC still has rights to digital clips from the competition, which will be available across the BBC Sport app and website as well as its social channels. There will also be regular in-depth analysis on the Test Match Special podcast, and several iPlayer and YouTube specials where audiences can learn more about England stars like Lauren Bell and Sophia Dunkley.
There will also be a number of tie ins with major BBC shows, including Ebony Rainford-Brent meeting members of the England cricket team on The One Show; the trophy visiting the Morning Live studio, CBeebies Bedtime Stories from English cricketers Katherine and Nat Sciver-Brunt as well as Scotland’s Abtaha Maqzood; a Blue Peter cricket challenge with the England team; BBC Bitesize content with England’s Tilly Corteen-Coleman, an England cricket social media manager, and umpires Anna Harris and her mum Yolanda; a Bargain Hunt Women’s Cricket v Tennis Special; a special episode of The Archers; and an interview with England head coach Charlotte Edwards alongside Clare Connor, the outgoing ECB managing director of England Women on Women’s Hour.
Alex Kay-Jelski, director of BBC Sport, said: “The T20 World Cup marks another brilliant occasion to champion women’s sport across the BBC as the summer of sport gets firmly underway. BBC Radio 5 Live will bring live radio commentary as fast-paced as the action on the pitch and teamed with our TMS podcast, digital clips on BBC Sport website and app, and wider special BBC programming, fans are sure to be bowled over.”
