The service offers live and archival content in HD and 4K to fans across more than 40 countries with full commercial launch due later this year

Cricket Australia has launched Cricket TV, a direct-to-consumer streaming service.
Cricket TV extends Cricket Australia’s live and archival programming to fans beyond its existing broadcast markets. The D2C service is available now for early access, and receives a full commercial launch later this year.
Cricket TV is accessible via a browser, mobile and connected TV application. The service is built on Eluvio’s Content Fabric and AI Video Intelligence. Eluvio’s Content Fabric receives live matches and archival source feeds and dynamically ingests, transcodes, publishes and generates streaming output directly to viewers.
Streaming is provided at full source resolution, including HD and 4K, with dynamic automatic adaptation to the user’s available bandwidth with low latency delivery.
The platform also provides subscriptions, pay-per-view, and/or ad-supported monetisation, while providing end-to-end content security and anti-piracy protection.
Meanwhile, AI-assisted tools provide a live vertical video without the need for file copies or re-transcoding.
“We’re excited to extend our partnership with Eluvio as we continue to grow Cricket TV and make Australian cricket more accessible to fans around the world,” said Dan Allan, senior content manager, broadcast at Cricket Australia. “Cricket TV brings live matches and some of the best moments from our archive together in one place for fans around the world. Eluvio has been a fantastic partner throughout the process, helping us deliver a high-quality viewing experience while giving us the flexibility to keep evolving the platform. During the early access period, Cricket TV has already reached viewers in more than 40 countries, highlighting the strong global interest in Australian cricket.”
“We’re honoured to have extended our relationship with Cricket Australia, not only to serve their fans with live matches, but also to serve as a model for other sports organisations looking for the most efficient and cost-effective way to deliver protected sports content with the quality today’s global viewers deserve,” said Michelle Munson, CEO and co-founder, Eluvio. “With one Fabric, sports rights holders can unlock dark markets and monetise live and VOD and leverage frame-accurate inline AI, without file copies— all at a fraction of legacy costs while retaining full control of their customers’ experience and viewer analytics.”
