Watts Occuring Femmes Crowd Network

Crowd Network has launched Watts Occurring Femmes, a cycling podcast fronted by world champion cyclists Emma Finucane and Manon Lloyd.

The pair will host 20 weekly episodes of the show, which launches ahead of the Tour de France Femmes. They will cover all things cycling, as well as charting Finucane’s season and her progress in working towards a spot in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics, and join Geraint Thomas and Luke Rowe, who host the Watts Occurring show, in Crowd Network’s stable of cycling talent.

Emma Finucane is a track sprinter and Olympic medallist, winning one gold and two bronze medals at the 2024 Paris Olympics. She is also a “double-double” world champion, winning gold in both the solo and team sprint events at the 2023 and 2024 UCI Track Cycling World Championships.

Manon Lloyd is a former professional cyclist, riding at international competitions from 2014 to 2017. She is also a world champion cyclist, winning two golds in the Madison and team sprint events at the 2016 UCI Track Cycling World Championship. Lloyd has also turned her hand to presenting, most notably on the Global Cycling Network from 2019 until 2024.

Bicycle manufacturing brand Pinarello is supporting Watts Occuring Femmes, with episodes to be filmed at its UK retailers. Indoor cycling app Rouvy is also continuing its partnership with Crowd’s cycling podcasts by organising biweekly community rides with Finucane and Lloyd.

Louise Gwilliam, talent manager at Crowd Network, said: “Having made strides in creating a network for women’s sports podcasting, branching into cycling is the next major step. Thanks to our listeners’ support and passion, we’ve been able to make this a reality.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Emma and Manon to Crowd. Their experience at the highest level of cycling will provide our listeners with incredible insights into the sport they love, both through the show itself in Pinarello’s UK retailers and the community rides with Rouvy. These brands are investing and partnering authentically with female athletes on female-led content, and we challenge more brands to do the same.”

Joe Deacon, head of UK marketing at Pinarello, said: “We’re very keen to support female athletes, and working with Emma, Manon, and the Crowd team felt like the perfect way to invest meaningfully in women’s cycling. Emma and Manon are incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the sport, and we feel privileged that the show will be recorded in our UK retailers.”
