Live coverage from the Grand Sumo Tournament at the Royal Albert Hall will be broadcast on dedicated channel, SUMO London 2025
Sumo wrestling returns to the UK after more than three decades, with the Grand Sumo Tournament taking place at the Royal Albert Hall for five consecutive nights from 15-19 October.
Live coverage of the tournament will be broadcast on a dedicated channel called SUMO London 2025 on free streaming service Pluto TV. This will be available in the UK, Canada, GSA, and Nordics, showing the action as over 40 elite Japanese rikishi compete in a series of elimination heats, culminating in a finals showdown.
Each evening, Pluto TV will air approximately 20 matches, each lasting five minutes, offering fans a blend of athleticism, tradition, and spectacle.
Coverage will feature live English commentary and expert analysis from James Richardson, the broadcaster behind Football Italia, BT Sport’s UEFA Champions League Goals Show and Channel 5’s World’s Strongest Man, alongside Hiro Morita, NHK’s leading sumo commentator and host of GRAND SUMO Preview and Highlights.
As well as live action, Pluto TV’s SUMO London 2025 channel will show replays and highlights from the event.
