Golf tournament featuring former footballers will take place 31 January - 1 February

Team England - Icons Series

The Icons Series is returning to Sky Sports, and will take place 31 January - 1 February at Reignwood Park, Bangkok. 

The event, which features professional golfers and former footballers playing each other in a golf tournament, will be available to watch in the UK on Sky Sports Golf and Sky Sports Main Event, as it was in 2025. There will also be additional coverage, highlights, and digital content to support the event. 

Icons is again producing the coverage in house, as it did for the first time last year. Collective Media Group had previously produced the competition. Executive producers Joe Bass and Tim Lacy join the team this year. Bass has previoulsy worked on the likes of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! and Soccer Aid, while Lacy was previously on the golf team at IMG. They are supported by Danny Hackett as live director and Andy Quinn as live producer. 

Icons Series 2026 Sky Sports

Josh Denzel, Nick Dougherty, Robbie Greenfield ,Claud Harmon III, Su-Ann Heng, Ria Ince, Ewan Porter, and Wayne ‘Radar’ Riley will form the presentation team onsite. 

Gareth Bale joins the lineup this year, and will play on Team World alongside Gabriel Batistuta, Nigel de Jong, Luís Figo, Ryan Giggs, David Ginola, Ruud Gullit, Aaron Ramsey, Andriy Shevchenko, Nemanja Vidić, Dwight Yorke, and Gianfranco Zola. Team England includes Jimmy Bullard, Andy Cole, Robbie Fowler, Joe Hart, Paul Ince, Phil Jagielka, Jermain Jenas, Phil Jones, Teddy Sheringham, Lee Sharpe, John Terry, and Theo Walcott.
