The broadcaster says it wants to ensure the brand is “everywhere sports fans are”
talkSPORT is ramping up its video-optimised content by launching what it says are state-of-the art-studios at its News UK HQ in London Bridge.
The first show to be broadcast from the studios is White & Jordan, live from The News Building in London.
The new studios are part of a move by talkSPORT to drive audience growth across audio and video platforms. The broadcaster says it wants to ensure the brand is “everywhere sports fans are, bringing the best live sport, breaking news and lively opinion”.
talkSPORT recently transitioned onto Smart TV with visual-first content, partnering with LG Channels, FireTV, Apple TV, Google TV and Samsung TV Plus. Added to this, over the past year, talkSPORT’s YouTube channels have had over 450 million views.
Liam Fisher, head of talkSPORT, says, “talkSPORT is the pre-eminent destination for sports fans across the UK and well-beyond. We’ve long been the world’s largest sports radio network, but our audience growth on video platforms has been phenomenal, and we were determined to create studios designed to ensure every single moment popped visually, whether that be on SmartTV, on YouTube, online or within the talkSPORT app. talkSPORT is everywhere our audiences are, and growing fast.”
