The Institute of Videography (IOV) will not hold its annual professional video exhibition next year.

Instead, the IOV’s professional videography presentations will take place at BVE in London and Manchester.

BVE event director Charlotte Wheeler said: “As Europe’s leading trade association for professional videographers the IOV’s increased involvement and support will add yet another dimension to BVE which had otherwise been missing.

“We appreciate that the IOV has a dedicated and loyal following who we look forward to welcoming to both events next year.”

The IOV will have a dedicated presentation theatre together with an IOV member lounge area at BVE.

The IOV Awards ceremony, which honours the best in corporate video, wedding day film, music video and documentary film production will be held alongside BVE North in November.

IOV chairman Ron Lee added: “We’ve developed a very healthy and friendly working relationship with the organisers of BVE and its predecessors over the years and have always supported their London event.

“With the introduction of their Manchester event it seemed logical for us to combine our efforts with those of Emap and build a much stronger videography element to both events.”

BVE takes place at Earls Court, London 14 to16 February. From 2013 the London show will take place at Excel.

BVE is owned and operated by Broadcast publisher Emap.
