Can Communicate has signed a four-year strategic deal that will see it co-produce and manage both live and as-live stereo 3D content for Switzerland’s Host Broadcast Services (HBS).

Can and HBS were partners during the 2010 World Cup in South Africa with the British company acting as technical consultants throughout the project testing period and providing key stereoscopic 3D personnel on site.

Business development director and partner Chris Dyer said: “The 2010 FIFA World Cup project was a triumph not only of technical achievement but also of successful collaboration. Can and HBS have built a symbiotic relationship that holds enormous potential and can only grow into bigger and better things.”

Host Broadcast Services is a specialist host broadcast organization. It was originally established to produce TV and radio content for the 2002 and 2006 World Cups.

The first joint project will be announced shortly.
