Playground, Stonehenge Films and Universal International Studios drama launches 30 June

Six-part Channel 4 and Peacock drama The Undeclared War is set in 2024 and focuses on a leading team of analysts buried in the heart of GCHQ, secretly working to ward off a series of cyber-attacks on the UK in the run up to a general election.

Co-produced by Playground, Stonehenge Films and Universal International Studios, the series is written by Wolf Hall creator Peter Kosminsky and features an all-star cast including Simon Pegg, Hannah Khalique-Brown, Maisie Richardson-Sellers, Adrian Lester, Alex Jennings, Mark Rylance and Kerry Godliman. Kosminsky gained access to cyber security teams in both the UK and US during the research period.

The Undeclared War was commissioned by Channel 4 head of drama Caroline Hollick.
