ChyronHego will use NAB to preview the VPX Virtual Production Server for hosting end-to-end live news and sports production workflows.

The new offering sees the company’s Camio Universe software ported it into a virtual IT environment and makes use of NewTek’s Network Device Interface (NDI) video protocol.

Camio Universe is used for video and audio switching, graphics, virtual sets, clip playback and playout automation.

“With VPX, we clearly show the transformation from SDI to IP to IT is here,” said Jesper Gawell, chief marketing officer, ChyronHego. “With the VPX platform running live production workflows in a virtualized server environment, broadcasters gain a future-proof foundation for bringing to air highly engaging content.”
