Telecine manufacturer Cintel has reduced its 60-strong workforce to 48 after making 12 redundancies at its UK office. Peter Swinson, who headed the marketing and development team and was a Cintel employee for almost 20 years, is one of those let go. Cintel marketing manager Kate Kilpatrick told Broadcastthat it was time for a change and that 'without finding a way to cut costs, things would have got more difficult in the future'. Redundancies were made across the board, according to Kilpatrick, with only Swinson going from a service department.
