The Crewing Company has signed a deal with Caribbean broadcaster SportsMax to supply camera crews and editors for the London Olympics.

Joint managing director Stuart Hatton said they had received an unprecedented level of interest in their Olympic vacancies, with 500 applications received in the first two weeks of January.

“We are working to fill around 75 technical operations and commentary control roles based at the IBC and venues all over the country,” said Hatton,

“Client interviews began a couple of weeks ago and the first employment offers have already been made. Ironically, the first of the offers we have made is for a role based at St James’s Park in Newcastle, which just goes to show the games aren’t just about London!”
