Datavideo has introduced two new prompting systems.

The TP500 and TP600 are designed around 7-inch and 10-inch Apple iPad and Android tablets, which Datavideo said provides a “cost-effective and versatile solution”.

Each teleprompter is controlled by the presenter via either a wired or wireless remote.

WiFi encoders allow multiple teleprompters to be controlled from a production desk.

The TP500 is designed for use with DSLR and small, handheld camcorders for webcasts and lowcost documentary makers.

The larger TP600 unit, which is designed for news and studio environments, can deliver through-the-lens prompting for productions using shouldermounted cameras in the field or in a studio.

Both models are set to launch in June.
