Former Technicolor Creative Services chief executive Roger Beck has joined Digit as its new director of business development.

In his new role Beck will help to strengthen and build upon the boutique encoding company’s existing relationships with studios, content owners, distributors and digital platforms.

Managing director Daniel Gould said: “Roger is a well respected, seasoned industry executive with many contacts across the globe. He has immense knowledge of the film and post-production markets worldwide, along with a unique awareness of the converged new & future media world. We’re very excited to have him on-board with us.”

Beck spent the last few months working as a consultant but was most recently employed as director of Film Services at the Ascent Media Group.

He was also managing director of Vidfilm International Digital before it was sold to Technicolor.
