New software tool and grading for broadcast system
Colour grading and finishing specialist Digital Vision will launch two new products at IBC.

First up the company has added a software based restoration tool to its image enhancement products, which will automate processes for high-volume remastering.

Secondly, the company has created a tapeless grading/finishing system designed for broadcast TV and multi-format requirements. The new system will support an SD or HD environment.

Media Excel to launch the Hera 3200f transcoder
Mobile TV and IPTV transcoding company Media Excel will launch the Hera 3200f at IBC.

A transcoder appliance tailored for broadcasters, content owners and aggregator's VOD systems, it also features embedded software and DSP hardware components resulting in a scalable solution that provides multi-codec broadcast-level video quality according to the company.

Echolab to announce new features at IBC
Production equipment specialist Echolab will announce new features for its Opera series of dual-format production switchers at IBC.

The switchers feature floating frame synchronisers for managing un-timed feeds and internal frame stores for simplified installation and reduced power consumption.

The switcher accepts and delivers digital and analogue signals without the need for external analogue to digital converters.

The floating frame synchroniser synchronises un-timed feeds from sources such as DVD players, satellite, remote studios and microwave links. The series can replace a clip/still store for applications in some production environments.
