Broadcast’s sister magazine Broadcast TECH will lift the lid on the shift to IP through a series of panel discussions and case studies from the industry’s early adopters.

The IP Summit will include a behind-the-scenes look at BT Sport’s broadcast of a Premier League game using OB firm Arena’s all-IP truck - the broadcaster’s chief engineer Andy Beale is one of the key speakers.

Meanwhile, UKTV director of operations and technology Sinead Greenaway and Ericsson Broadcast and Media Services chief technology officer Steve Plunkett will speak about the broadcaster’s adoption of a virtualised playout system it will use to launch live events across its channels.

The halfday event, which is being supported by Snell Advanced Media (SAM) and Grass Valley, will take place at the Century Club in London on Tuesday 1 November.
