Fusion Post Production was closed down for three days last week after staff were locked out of the D'Arblay Street facility following a dispute with the building's landlord over payment of rent.

The disagreement meant that jobs such as BBC1's Holiday Departure Loungehad to be booked into alternative facilities to meet urgent deadlines.

Facility director Ant Hayward told Broadcastthat the dispute arose after Fusion had tried to negotiate down the rent.

He admitted that Fusion had also experienced cash flow problems earlier this year and said: "April was a tight month and less stuff was coming in."

However, he said he was confident that things were on the up and said there are plenty of bookings coming in.

He added that this year's annual turnover was£2m, an increase of£300,000 on last year's figure.

Recent work includes Kerchingfor CBBC drama and Dial-a-Mumfor Objective.
